What's your Return Policy?

When you shop with us, you can feel comfortable knowing you'll have 30 days to request an exchange or full refund, for any reason, no questions asked. (Shipping charges are non-refundable.) Between November 15 - December 15, we extend our Return Policy to 60 days to ensure gift recipients have time to receive and try on their new jewelry. Do you offer a Product Guarantee or Warranty?

We want you to enjoy your Moonrise Jewelry for years to come, so we handcraft each of our pieces with durability in mind using high-quality materials. We proudly stand behind our "Made in the USA" products with a Quality Assurance Guarantee, and ensure they will withstand daily wear when treated with common-sense care. We want to take care of our customers and our jewelry, and will gladly repair or replace any items that are damaged due to manufacturing defects. We also understand that accidents happen, so if your Moonrise Jewelry ever needs some extra TLC, we'd be happy to repair, restore, or clean it for you. (Reasonable charges, if any, will be determined by the nature of the repair.)

Can I ship my order to Multiple Addresses?

Yes! After you’ve placed your items in your shopping cart, click on the Shopping Cart icon in the top right corner. Review your purchases, then click “Checkout with Multiple Addresses” instead of the “Proceed to Checkout” button. You’ll then be prompted to log-in or create an account, enter your shipping address, billing address, and any other addresses where you will be shipping items. Once you’ve finished entering all your addresses, you’ll see a listing of all of the items in your cart with a drop-down menu beside each one. Simply select the desired shipping address for each item, then click the button that says “Ship to These Addresses”. On the next screen, you’ll be able to select your preferred Shipping Method for each package. Then proceed with the payment portion of the checkout process and we’ll handle the rest!

Do you ship Internationally?

Yes! We'd be happy to ship your order overseas, though our website is only processing orders in the U.S.A. at this time. Just Contact Us with the shipping address and the item(s) you're interested in purchasing, and we can provide you with an accurate shipping quote before you place your order. (Please be aware that international shipping charges do not include taxes or duties, which are the customer's responsibility.)

Do you offer Gift Wrapping?

Yes. When checking out, select the Gift Wrapping option and type your message. If you have multiple items in your order, repeat this step for each item you’d like us to gift wrap for you.

Do you sell Gift Certificates? How do I redeem a Gift Card?

Yes, you can purchase Gift Certificates in any amount and have them delivered immediately by email.

Our Gift Certificates do not expire and can be redeemed on this website, by phone, or at our retail Showroom & Studio, located at 245 Mason Avenue, Cape Charles, VA. To redeem a Gift Card online, you’ll enter your Gift Certificate code in the last step of the checkout process. Simply type the code that appears on your Gift Card in the “Redeem a Gift Certificate or Coupon” field, then click apply. You can pay any remaining amount due with any other payment method. If you don't redeem the full value of your Gift Card, the remaining balance will still be available in the future by using the same Gift Card Code on a later purchase.

Is your Real Orchid Flower Jewelry durable? How are they preserved?

All of our Real Orchid Blossom jewelry designs are made with one-of-a-kind natural orchid flowers, carefully grown in a nursery then preserved in a durable resin coating for a lifetime of enjoyment. Treated with the same care you would give any special piece of jewelry, these unique styles will be conversation-starters for years to come!


To best protect your Real Orchid jewelry, store it in a jewelry box or zippered plastic bag out of direct sunlight and excessive humidity (see Jewelry Care for more tips). When traveling with your Real Orchid Flower jewelry, please use common sense to protect the blossom in your luggage. We recommend wearing it or packing it securely in your carry-on luggage inside the original gift box or another crush-proof container.

What is Fish Leather? Does it smell?

Our “Reel” Fish Leather Jewelry features a fascinating material that’s made from salmon, perch, carp, Wolf fish + Tilapia skins discarded by the canning industry. The fish are farm-raised, cleaned, scaled, and canned for consumption. Instead of throwing the fish skins away, they are made into leather and dyed in a tannery. (It’s the same technique as making leather by tanning cow hides; only in this case, the process starts with fish hides.) The tanning process completely removes all odor and transforms what was once “trash” into treasure! The result is a richly-colored leather with an exotic scale pattern unique to each species.

What sizes are your Necklaces & Bracelets?

Sizes of our jewelry vary by style and are typically listed in the product description. Some of our designs are available in your choice of lengths (16, 18 or 20 inch), so you can select your preferred length before you add the item to your shopping cart.


Since we handcraft all of our jewelry, we would be happy to make sizing adjustments for you, should you need a different length than what’s listed. Just Contact Us to request a different size on any of our products, and we can provide you with a quote for the additional charge (if any). If you’ve already received your jewelry and need to have the size adjusted, please Contact Us so we can assist you.

Do you offer Custom Designs?

Yes. Customization is one of our specialties! Whether you're searching for the perfect jewelry for your bridal party or have a specific sizing request, we’d be happy to help. Simple alterations of our stock designs (custom lengths, converting pierced earrings to to clip, etc.) can be ready to ship within a few days, but please give us at least 3 weeks advance notice if you’re interested in original custom designs or bridal jewelry. Just Contact Us with your needs so we can discuss your ideas and provide you with a price quote. (Note: We Do Not accept returns on custom orders once you’ve approved the design).

Do you Repair jewelry?

Due to time constraints, we do not repair jewelry made by other designers, but we will always repair our own pieces, should they ever need a tune-up. We stand behind our craftsmanship and offer a High Quality Guarantee on all Moonrise Jewelry pieces. If your jewelry has a manufacturing defect or breaks during the course of normal wear, we will gladly repair or replace it at no charge. We understand that accidents happen, so if your Moonrise Jewelry needs some attention, please let us know! We would be glad to help repair or replace it at a reasonable cost.

I lost one of my Earrings. Can I buy just 1 Earring to replace it?

Yes. As long as we still have that style in stock (or the materials to make it), we would be happy to sell you a single replacement earring. The cost will be 1/2 of the current retail price for the pair. We will need the earring and/or picture to ensure the new earring will match.

How should I Clean and Care for my jewelry?

Will you Donate to my Fundraiser?

We are honored you asked, and nothing makes us happier than being able to support the important work charitable organizations are doing around the world.  Every year we make in-kind product donations to numerous charitable organizations, and are proud to support causes that are dear to our customers' hearts, as well as our own. Unfortunately, due to the volume of requests received, we can’t donate to every cause. Priority is given to charities in our local area on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, as well as national non-profits. If you'd like to submit a donation request, please Contact Us by email. Do you sell your jewelry Wholesale?

Yes. Moonrise Jewelry is now sold in boutiques, galleries, resort gift shops, and jewelry stores in the U.S. and around the world, thanks to our growing list of retail partners. Where do you get your Materials?

We source our materials from around the world and the U.S., and choose to support ethical suppliers that adhere to fair trade values whenever possible. Our components and raw materials (beads, orchids, leather, etc.) are only sold as part of our finished designs, as we do not sell them separately to others.

Where do you get your Inspiration?

For us, that’s the easy part– inspiration is all around! We find it in the natural beauty of our home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. The wild, untamed coastal wilderness of our Barrier Islands, a day at the beach, feedback from our customers, the materials themselves, art, design, fashion --- the list is endless!
